Ranbir Kapoor will play rajneeti ka khel in Prakash Jha’s ambitious project Rajniti . His role is of a young NRI lad who returns to India to join politics at the time of family crisis.

Director Prakash Jha sums up Ranbir’s character as someone who “defines democracy in today’s world”. But unlike other netas, Ranbir’s modern-day young politician but will not be dressed in usual kurta pyjama.

“Ranbir will be very trendily dressed. He plays a young man of today,” says Jha.

This kind of challenging role, that too in a Prakash Jha film, has elated Ranbir, who is very excited about his looks and dialogues in the film. The young actor will render dialogues in an accent like that of a US-returned Indian boy. Later, Ranbir will render speeches in good Hindi as well. Jha will start an acting workshop with Ranbir as soon as the ongoing elections get over. After that, Ranbir’s scenes will be canned.

‘Rajniti’ also stars Katrina Kaif , Ajay Devgan , Arjun Rampal , Nana Patekar and Manoj Bajpai .

It’s reported that Ranbir is so eager to join the film’s unit that he wanted to go to Bhopal even though his scenes weren’t being shot. The actor has almost completed Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani with Katrina and is gearing for Shimit Amin’s Rocket Singh .

After teaming up with Ranbir Kapoor in the hit film Bachna Ae Haseeno, director Siddharth Anand has signed his childhood buddy for his next film too. The surprising thing is the casting of Priyanka Chopra opposite the young actor for the first time.

“It is a romantic comedy, which I’ve specialised in over the years. But this is a twisted one with a twang and all that jazz,” Anand said.

Though neither producer Sajid Nadiadwala nor Anand are willing to confirm, but according to dependable sources, Priyanka who is currently shooting with Uday Chopra for Yash Raj Films’ Pyar Impossible, will be cast opposite Ranbir.

The actress has lately been window-shopping for the hottest male actors in Bollywood and has so far managed films superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. She also has several projects with Abhishek Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan.

And Priyanka has just completed Kaminay with Shahid Kapur. She is now on to the new generation of stars with Ranbir leading the bright pack. The pairing spree certainly gives Priyanka an edge over her rivals.

It seems the never-say-die friendship between director Anand and actor Saif Ali Khan is over for all practical purposes. After their two films together Salaam Namaste and Ta Ra Rum Pum, the two had sworn to work together again.

But Ta Ra Rum Pum didn’t do well and Anand quickly gravitated towards his childhood buddy Ranbir for his next film Bachna Ae Haseeno, which was a hit.

After Bachna Ae Haseeno, it was widely believed that Saif would be back in Anand’s next for Nadiadwala.

Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor are together shooting for ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahini’. During the shoot, they have come so closer that they set the house on fire. They became very close friends and whenever gets time, they do huge masti. They both took up fighting jokingly when an entertainment channel turned up to take their interview individually.

After hectic day, it was the wrapping time and both took up fighting as who would go for the interview first. Kat played a trick, she left the coin to decide as who will be the first one for the interview. She flicked a coin in the air but the trick did not work for Katrina, she lost the toss and Ranbir went first.

To her failure, Ranbir laughed at her and Kat left speechless just repenting on her loss. Post the interview, both had a big fight, only missing was the fireworks.

Katrina and Ranbir gelled quite well on the set and their on-screen chemistry is much talked about.

Bollywood’s much talked about couple Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are having a constant tiff over the months. Deepika’s overprotective nature has taken a toll on Ranbir’s mind and now he is thinking about her existence in his life, Ranbir is into serious thought whether to continue with Deepika or call it a off. Ranbir when asked about his marriage said that he has not yet decided when to get married and with whom to get married.

It is not only Ranbir who is in dilemma whether to continue with his present love or not but Deepika is also unsure about Ranbir. Doubt arises when she said that it is too early to get into any relationship and also it is too early to be called ‘Bahurani’.

Ranbir’s family is now turning their faces off from Deepika. Deepika who was once the darling of Neetu Singh now turned cold about her and regarded her a mere friend of her son. Sister Riddhima also reluctant to speak about Ranbir’s off screen chemistry with Deepika.

Panasonic has signed on Ranbir Kapoor to endorse their Vierra range of flat screen TVs and Home theatre systems.

Ranbir is currently the hottest young brand endorser on the block and brands are dying to get Ranbir signed on the dotted line. But the young icon is selective about his choice of brands and has given his nod to only two endorsements so far. One being the super popular Pepsi commercial which is already a rage and now, this.

Ranbir has already shot for the Panasonic commercial which is all set to air soon.
